Description
4 - 8" Crushed Basalt,
often referred to as rip rap, is dark grey to black in color, sometimes with a
red color. It is crushed in size from 4” up to 8” without fines, which makes it
particularly effective in extremely muddy areas. It is a clean crushed rock,
which means it will not pack in tight, but it will allow for drainage. Basalt is
a blasted rock, meaning it contains no round edges, therefore it will pack
better than aggregate rock will.
