Description

    Non-woven filter fabrics are used primarily for sub-surface drainage applications such as French drains, trench drains and blanket drains. They are also used under gabions for erosion control. SS5 is a woven, reinforcement materal for under patios, driveways and roadways.

Woven Woven material commonly used for soil separation, under roadways, parking lots and residential streets.

SS5

Spunbond Suppresses weed growth. Use to wrap around drainage pipes to prevent clogging. Good for patio and paver underlayment. Separates sand  and rock from soil to prevent shifting.

Application

  1. Read product label thoroughly for installation instructions.
  2. If extreme conditions exist, consult an engineer for site specific recommendations.
  3. Start by preparing project site. Clear sharp and large rocks that could puncture the fabric during installation.
  4. See illustrations (on left) for placement of fabric.
  5. Unroll fabric and cut to desired length. Pull taut. If needed, anchor with fabric staples.
